  • *melts* ahh, the healing process is so nice to watch. Now I will have a warm glow all morning!

And day 42, so Martin has already left, . . . right?
    • I keep thinking that Martin hasn't left yet, because I can just see something else heartbreaking happening before this is finished. *cough sadisticwriters cough* :)
  • Oh, I've got a great big lump in my throat. That was just perfect -- no words, only action, and such incredible love and trust.

I love House as a human radio tower. That's such a wonderful image.
  • "House is the devil he knows, the one who won't screw him up worse than he already is. "
how do you people constantly come up with the most perfect descriptions? that could really only fit House and Wilson.
anyway, this is awesome! although i'm still trying to get used to a touchy-feely House. the hugging is a nice touch.
are we finally gonna get some dialogue in the next update? that'd be nice *makes subtle puppy-dog eyes*
  • Thank you. So lovely.

"Wilson does not question what this means, because he knows. "

Wilson has known for a long time, hasn't he? And I heard an echo of what you wrote, a while back:

"Is there a logical reason why House would - no. Yes, actually, he corrects himself. There's a very good reason."

Wilson has known all the time what he means to House. Perhaps he tried to make himself forget for a while what House means to him, but it seems to me he is coming to terms with that, too. House, though, still needs to be made sure of that. But I sleep better knowing that at least Wilson knows.
  • Aw, a House-initiated hug! Lovely...
  • Oh. Hug. ♥

I would give anything for a moment like that on the show.

I always thought it rather hard to move me to tears. Honestly, there isn't a movie or a book out there that managed yet. Still there are several chapters in your wonderful story, including this one, that have had me crying in front of my laptop.
    Thank you!
  • I'll bet later, when they're apart, and the moment's over, his ribs'll hurt like the very devil but now, right now, in House's arms, the pain's bearable.
  • Omg. I found this this morning and have literally devoured every single chapter. *sigh* SHould've waited a month so I wouldn't have to wait for the next installment.

    This is awesome, you guys!
    • I would eat this chapter if I could. I love it a little too much. I do keep tripping over one detail though (and yes, "keep" - I've read this three times now): Why does House have a lighter in his jacket pocket? It seems weird to me.

Really though, it's perfectly lovely. :-)
      • On the show, we see House smoking on occasion.

Sometimes cigars, sometimes cigarettes. It seems more recreational for him than a habit, but he does smoke.

I loved that. And the wonderful rest of the chapter, too.
  • Oh, hug. That's just brilliant, especially after the cathartic burning of the card. Love it.
  • Awww beautiful... House is good therapy :D
